Flower Market, Bangkok

It was our fourth day in Bangkok and the smell of the streets wasn't getting more bearable. This didn't break our spirit to explore the city. We had a Thai Ice Tea for breakfast from a street stall in front of our hostel. The best way to start your day. Probably the most unhealthy too.

We hopped on a boat once again, this time to another temple - The Grand Palace.

We felt obligated to see it before we leave Bangkok, but once we saw the suffocating crowd, we decided to skip.

Instead we went to a sight less well known - the Pak Khlong Market, or with other words, The Flower Market.   This is as local as it gets and you can really feel the bustling town around it.

We saw rats as big as cats and cats as big as rats, but I liked the place more than most of the tourist attractions in the city.

We had a coffee break where I tried sesame ice-cream for the first time and since then I always order it if its on the menu.

Next on the list was Lumpini park.

There is only one thing to do when you see an enormous lizard coming towards you in the park - shout and run.

But when they become two you just freeze and take a photo.

Later on I found out that the monitor lizards are a common sight for the park, but it was fun to see the shock in the eyes of each foreigner who stumbled upon them.

The same night we got on the legendary night train to Chiang Mai and ate some macarons.

Made by a Chinese Chef who studied Pastry Arts in France.

We became friends with a few other travelers and got to exchange funny stories from our travels so far.
