Following the tradition of celebrating my birthday abroad, I ended up in Singapore. I woke up full of excitement for the day and went to have a traditional pig organ soup for breakfast.
JK of course. I had a chocolate croissant for breakfast, which was totally ordinary and unworthy of a photo.
So what to do when you are on the other side of the world and its your birthday? You let yourself be a total tourist and go to Sentosa - The island of FUN.
And more specifically - you go to an underwater adventure to stare at big fish in tanks.
I have been to many sea aquariums around the world, but the Singaporean S.E.A. fascinated me with its flawless curation of the space. There were fish from every sea in the world and the settings were made to look as authentic as possible.
From a very young age I have been admiring and fearing the underwater world altogether, so naturally I couldn't help thinking what would it be for a child to go and experience those wonders for itself.
We saw the feeding of the sharks.
And the deadliest jellyfish in the world. It gains its popularity from this movie. Never try this at home!
And does this look familiar? This bad boy is one of Ursula's pets in Ariel.
Straight from your worst nightmares.
A sea aquarium would not be complete without a Nemo. Naturally, Dori was in the next tank.
When the sun went down it was time to celebrate - we treated ourselves to a dumplings heaven. Imagine a menu full with dumplings only - from top to bottom. We tried all kinds while Jon was educating us on the different flavours.
That was just for starters.
Until we rolled out of our chairs and continued the party on the PARTY island in Singapore - Clarke Quay. If you are feeling particularly crazy - you can check out some bars there.
Too bad it was Monday night and the bars were somehow deserted. Nevertheless we had a blast!
