Singapore striked us with its tall buildings, the order and the greenery all over the city. It was like we have time traveled into the future. Only the flying cars were missing.
been transported in a city from the future.
And we were so lucky, because we had two lovely boys showing us around.
They gave us some history intro and a list of all the forbidden things, in case our life is dear. In Singapore drug possession is punished with a death sentence by hanging. Chewing gum is also forbidden and you will not find them in any of the shops.
And in case you have decided to smoke at an undesignated area or throw your rubbish on the ground, you will be fined a handsome $1000. As the souvenir magnets jokingly state : Singapore is a FINE city.
Jon and Seif took us to the the spectacular light show Wonder Full at the Marina Bay Sands. It was jaw dropping and you want to know the best part - totally free to watch! If you want to see this for yourself, check more info here.
Keeping up in the light spirit, we set off to another jawdropping performance - the Garden Rhapsody in the one and only Gardens by the Bay.
A magical mix between music and light, those man made trees explode in color and melody with a different subject every month. And its free to watch! Check more info here.
Another fact that we learned from Seif, which left us speechless - these beautiful gardens are totally self sustainable. I told you Singapore is 50 years ahead of the World.
Knowing my obsession with satay, Jon took us to try a real Singaporean one. I have been listening stories about it for two years and now I finally get the chance to taste it.
Yes, it was GOOD!
Oh, did I mention it was Jon's birthday? It's time to blow the candles!
